How to save TikTok recipes so you can actually cook them
Short answer
Copy the TikTok link (Share, then Copy link), open Recepti in your browser, paste the link and tap Import recipe. Recepti pulls out the ingredients and steps, keeps the creator credit and a link back to the video, and saves it in your recipe list.
Most people save TikTok recipes with the bookmark button. That works until you try to cook. The video plays at full speed, the amounts flash on screen for a second, and the recipe is buried among hundreds of other favorites.
The fix is to keep two things: the video for inspiration, and a written copy of the ingredients and steps for cooking.
Step by step
- In TikTok, open the recipe video and tap Share.
- Tap Copy link.
- Open getrecepti.app in your phone browser. The first time, pick metric or imperial units.
- Tap the + button, paste the link and tap Import recipe.
- Check the ingredients and steps, then save. The recipe now lives in your Recipes list.

What if the recipe is only spoken in the video?
Many creators never write the recipe down. When the caption does not have it, Recepti works from the video itself: it listens to what is said and looks at frames from the video. If the caption links to a full recipe on a blog, Recepti follows that link. Read more in TikTok recipe with no written recipe.
Keep the creator in the loop
Every saved recipe keeps the creator credit and a View original post button, so you can rewatch the technique or leave the creator a comment after you cook it.

Tip: save the recipe the moment you find it. Searching your TikTok Favorites a week later is the slow part.

Questions
Does Recepti download the TikTok video to my phone?
No. Recepti saves the recipe text, the credit and the link. Videos are processed on the server only to read the recipe, and temporary files are deleted after processing.
Do I need a TikTok account?
You need the link to a public TikTok. Recepti fetches the public post to read the recipe.
Is it free?
Yes. The Recepti web app is free and you can start as a guest without signing up.
